EXAM PART 1: CAREER RESEARCH

Due June 17th

Individually, choose one specific occupation that is of interest to you. Research and create a blog that includes the following information, presented in an eye-catching and easy to understand format for teenagers. Your report should be written in your own words and references should be given to any website or resources that you used in the research process. Remember that since we are publishing to a public form (the Internet) you could be charged with plagiarism if you do not cite your sources. You might consider using pictures, personal videos, youtube links. The possibilities are endless! Have fun!

• Advantages & Disadvantages: cautions of this job for me, what attracts you to this job and what causes concern? (your opinion)

Visual Aspect:
You will be evaluated on the visual impact of your project on all areas. Be sure to include pictures, video footage and charts that relate to you research.

EXAM PART 2: REFLECTIVE RESPONSE

Due June 21st

To conclude your blog or information package you will write a reflective response, which will be minimum 500 words in length and written in paragraph form. Your reflections should be based on your experience in this course and making plans for how you might achieve your future career goals.

Make sure you add a "Link List" in you add a gadget area! This is where you will list all web sites used in the construction of your blog and cites you used to research your career of interest. Every cite must be listed, failing to do so is plagerism!

Example:

I am a Visual Learner:
visual learner uses a visual aid when studying, like a colorful outline of test materials, he or she may retain more information. For this type of learner, visual tools improve the ability to recall information more completely.
A simple explanation of learning styles is this: Some students remember best materials they’ve seen, some remember things they’ve heard, while others remember things they’ve experienced.

References...
You will need to go through and cite all of your information. Where did you get it from? If it is from Career Cruising, put Info: Career Cruising or Image: Career Cruising at the end of the post or under the image. You will need to add a link list to your blog, go in customize - layout - add a gadget - link list First line should be References or Citations than start adding all of the web addresses of sites you used in your research. Link list should be in the side column not in the main post area.

Visial Impact

• Make sure that References are at the top of the side bar fallowed by less important widgets.
• Only information,related pictures and videos should be in the center column.

  Rearrange your blog go into New Post - Edit Post - Post Options (bottom left of post window) than set the time of posting in order 5 minutes apart it should rearrange the order of the post if you want it to read top to bottom.
